In 1995 she moved to the United Kingdom, where she started her professional career in the Pharmaceutical Industry in Rhone Poulenc Rorer UK as Sales/Marketing Technician. She then held different positions of increasing responsibility in Market Research, Sales, and Product Management, where she worked in the allergy, respiratory and oncology therapeutic areas.
In 2000 she relocated to Spain working for Aventis as Oncology Senior Product Manager and in 2001 Beatriz moved to PharmaMar, the leading Spanish biotech oncology company, as Global Project Leader, where she coordinated the preclinical, clinical, regulatory and marketing areas of the development of the leading compound (Yondelis) and the co-development with Johnson & Johnson.
In 2003, she joined Pfizer as Oncology Product Manager and was appointed Therapeutic Area Manager for Oncology & Marketing Services in 2006. One year later, she took additional responsibility as Therapeutic Area Manager for Oncology / Endocrine Care / Ophthalmology.
Along 2008, she was a member of the Pfizer European Path Forward team, contributing to the transformation of the organization into business units and in January 2009 she was appointed Oncology Business Unit Head for Spain. In March 2013 she became Oncology Cluster Lead for Spain, Belux, Ireland and Portugal.
In July 2015 she took on the role of President & Managing Director of Pfizer Spain and became a member of the boards of Farmaindustria, the American Chamber of Commerce and the American Business Council.
In January 2017 she was appointed Regional President for the International Developed Markets, IM. In this role, Beatriz manages the IM portfolio and provides oversight to Country Managers in 57 markets that include Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Korea. Beatriz was most recently the Country Manager for Spain and still continues with her membership in the American Chamber of Commerce, Gender diversity and Inclusion within the American Chamber of Commerce and the American Business Council.
