Kalev examines the efficacy of organizational diversity programs and antidiscrimination regulations in corporations and universities and the effects of workforce diversity on firm performance (with Frank Dobbin). Other research projects examine organizational factors shaping Israeli-Palestinians employment integration and ageism and gender inequality in merit evaluations in high tech firms.
Kalev’s research has been published in leading U.S. journals, as well as major media outlets, such as NY Times and Harvard Business Review, and funded by the American National Science Foundation, the Bi-National U.S-Israeli Science Foundation, The Israeli National Science Foundation, the Sloan Foundation, the Safra Center for Ethics and the Israeli Ministry of Science.
Kalev is a member of the Advisory Committee to the Israeli Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
