Beyond HR: Embedding Diversity and Inclusion into your organisation's DNA

My session will argue that Diversity and Inclusion should not just sit with your HR or with your D&I team. It is everyone’s responsibility. Everybody can and should see themselves as a D&I champion. My presentation includes simple, practical tips and checklists that any organisation can implement regardless of size and budgets. I will focus on how to apply a D&I lens to operations, services and grant and awards programmes and how to use data to monitor progress.

  • How can we ensure that our communication and marketing materials are as accessible as possible and that we reach a wider audience?

  • How can we make sure that everybody that attends our events has the same experience regardless of their background?

  • How can we make sure that our programmes and selection processes reach a wide talent pool?

The pandemic forced most companies to find ways for their workforce to continue to work successfully but from afar. In essence, Covid-19 made accessibility a priority.

  • Successful remote work situation hinges on making a home office secure, reliable, and digitally and physically accessible

  • Is remote work a challenge or an opportunity for people with disabilities?

  • Do people with disabilities have equal chances to be productive in a remote work model regardless of their working location?

  • after the pandemic subsides, will employers return to a pre-crisis way of thinking about working from home?
